What's new.

Bokumi is coming soon to iPhone, iPad and Android. Here is what the beta builds have added so far.

  1. Widgets, iPad and Mac, iCloud sync

    • Four Home Screen widgets (Plus): Continue Reading, New Chapters, Reading Streak and Shelf, following your theme.
    • iPad and Mac layouts with open-book spreads and page-curl turns; the series page uses two columns on iPad.
    • iCloud sync for the whole app, with no sign-in, and a small sync animation.
    • A new app icon, the cat reading a manga, with ten Plus icons built for Liquid Glass, and a launch animation where the cat turns a page.
    • 42 themes in six collections, a free Stone theme and a compact dot picker.
    • Cleaner settings across More, General, Appearance and Tabs; Reading Insights redone; Home Screen quick actions; sharper covers.

  2. A calmer series page and a faster reader

    • A poster series page with a full-width cover and a Continue button that opens the book straight away.
    • The reader loads pages once and all of them, with a live seek bar, clearer chapter order and filters, and a close button while it loads.
    • Bokumi Plus arrives: reading stays free, everything else is Plus.
    • The library tile no longer vanishes after you close a series.

  3. 13 languages and full-app themes

    • The app speaks 13 languages and switches live.
    • Themes now tint the whole app, not just the reader.
    • Redesigned Browse, Updates, History and Appearance, and tunable haptics.

  4. The first builds

    • Bokumi (ボクミ) takes its name, its cat and its first themes.
    • The first iPhone build: library, series page, reader, history and updates.
